Who knew there could be so many different types of sweatpants? As the years have gone by, every new decade brings with it a new style of sweatpants. It turns out there are lots of different ways to make this comfortable item of clothing.
The style of sweatpants we’re looking into today are the stacked sweatpants. As anyone who is a fan of streetwear knows, there are lots of different ways you can style your streetwear depending on where you’re going.
We’re going to be taking you through all of the different ways you can wear stacked sweatpants and what accessories you can put with them. Let’s get into it!
What to wear with stacked sweatpants
- Cosy sweatshirt
If you’re wearing stacked sweats in the wintertime, you’re going to want to complete your winter look with a cosy sweatshirt. One that matches your sweatpants is a great way to complete the look, but it’s not a necessity.
You’re going to be staying warm and comfy but completing the look with a matching sweatshirt gives the whole look a more put together feel.
- Oversized shirt
If you want to go for something a little bit different with your stacked sweats, an oversized shirt would be a great way to go. A flannel shirt would be perfect as it creates a fun juxtaposition with the sweats. It looks cool, feels cosy and gives the look a bit of an edge.
You could wear the shirt open with a singlet underneath to keep it casual. Or you could have the shirt buttoned up – but make sure the shirt isn’t too tight around you, or it won’t create the desired effect.
- Crop top
Crop tops are a staple of any wardrobe – not just for the ladies! If you are a lady and you want to wear your stacked sweats with a bit of a sexy edge, then having a crop top on your top half would be a good way to go.
Of course, the men out there are allowed to sport a crop top out there if they’re feeling the vibe, but we get it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.
- Vests
If you’re not into the crop top idea, a vest is definitely the way to go. This means that you can wear your stacked sweats out in the summer months without overheating. A clean white vest keeps the look crisp and cool – it’s a classic that will never lead you wrong.
How to accessorize with stacked sweatpants
- Chunky boots
Footwear can be difficult to decide on when wearing sweats, but you can pretty much wear whatever you like. A chunky boot paired with stacked sweats in the wintertime is always a look. It’s practical whilst also looking cool. The mix of sporty and tough is a real winner so don’t be afraid to push the boat out.
- High top sneakers
Of course, you can also keep it classic with a high-top sneaker and your stacked sweats. This always looks good, and it works best if you style the sweats so that the bottom of the sweat is tucked just behind the tongue of your shoe. There’s no point having great sneakers if no one can see them!
- Tote bag
When it comes to bags, a tote is going to work with every outfit. It brings a casual element to the look and is also a practical choice as you can fit all of your stuff in there!
- Cross body bag
If you want to be a little bit cooler with it, a cross-body bag is the way to go. These tuck neatly under your arm and can be worn underneath a jacket to keep all of your belongings safely tucked away.
There are so many different ways that you can wear stacked sweatpants – what’s your favourite?
